Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide risk management oversight and guidance to Waka Kotahi's Regulatory Services Group, and to provide assurance that the risks are well managed.  This role requires specialist subject matter expertise in the risk management field and is required to work alongside other internal teams and managers across the Regulatory Services Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career and learn from others, and an exciting time to join Waka Kotahi.  You will be involved in working with teams providing expert advice on risk analysis and risk management matters while also seeing the bigger picture and communicating strategic thinking to the rest of the team.

Ko koe tēnei | About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Strong understanding and experience relating to risk management frameworks and assurance programmes.
• Strong knowledge and experience relating to risk management reporting and the development and use of performance indicators for risk management.
• Technical knowledge of the AS/NZS ISO 31000 Standard: Risk Management - Principals & Guidelines.
• Technically competent in risk analysis techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
