The Workplace and Technology Services Group is accountable for leading, influencing and ensuring that our corporate and transport technologies deliver to business and customer outcomes. The Group is accountable for all cyber and physical security issues, ensuring that the Transport Agency meets its ongoing security and compliance obligations.
The Business Support team sits within the Workplace & Technology business group, whose purpose is to provide professional business and administrative support to the organisation. Our team has an increased focus to provide effective administrative support to Managers and their teams as they go about their work, and ensuring that everyone at the Agency has access to great workplace facilities, tools and equipment to help them do their job. Your team is key to making the Agency a great place to work.
The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
As our Practice Manager, you will provide operational leadership to one of our Business Support Services teams in Wellington. You'll work closely with the Manager, Business Support Services and while you will have your own portfolio of business groups to provide administrative support for, you'll also need to work collaboratively with the other Practice Managers to ensure seamless support to all of our groups.
In this role you will build strong, effective relationships across the business, ensuring the right resources are allocated to support our people to deliver excellent service. You will be a flexible and adaptable manager who can work well in an agile and ever changing environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a people leadership and management role in a large complex organisation
- Strong ability to lead administrative support functions across multiple team environments and locations
- An innovative approach to problem solving
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative working style and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to build strong relationships, particularly with Senior Managers
