About us | Ko wai mātou
At Waka Kotahi, the NZ Transport Agency, it all starts with our people. The organisation's performance and success depends on the people who choose to make this a great place to work and make a difference for Aotearoa. The Transport Agency has a strong future focus, understanding that new technologies and changing customer expectations mean the transport system we know today will not be the one we deliver in ten years' time.
The Regulatory Services Group is on a journey to revitalise the way Waka Kotahi fulfils its regulatory function to ensure an efficient, effective and safe land transport system.
Guided by our Regulatory Strategy, Tū ake, tū māia, we will deliver a step change over the next five years (2020 - 2025) in how we regulate. Our focus is on 5 key capability shifts: advancing strong governance and accountability, leading regulation through trusted and valued relationships, delivering robust and consistent decision-making, inspiring a thriving regulatory culture and courageous people, and improving technology, intelligence and practices.
The Principal Advisor will be a key member of the team to support the group to achieve that change.
