This role is part of our Enterprise Change team, who are part of our Corporate Support Group, which supplies key specialist functions core to enabling the Transport Agency to run efficiently and to achieve organisational excellence internally and for the land transport system. These include finance, procurement, risk, programme management, research and analytics. Enterprise Change supports the organisation to deliver change projects, with capabilities ranging from business analysis, service design, innovation and change management.
The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The purpose of this role is to apply your specialist behavioural science knowledge to help the Transport Agency deliver better outcomes for New Zealand. The focus of our behavioural team is to advise projects about how systemic factors come together to affect people's behaviour as they move around New Zealand, and how these relate to our intended outcomes. It will create and document knowledge about transport behaviour that will help the Transport Agency deliver outcomes more effectively over time.
This is an opportunity to use your background in applied psychology, human factors or related behavioural sciences to help improve road safety, promote healthy and sustainable transport choices, develop new and innovative technologies, and to improve compliance with regulation. You will support senior behavioural specialists to collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to understand what they are trying to achieve and how to get there.
You will have experience applying your skills in a business context and a track record of researching and developing interventions that impact end user behaviour. About you | Ko wai koe
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in an applying a behavioural science, with experience in transport or government services contexts preferred
- Experience in identifying behavioural risks and opportunities
- Experience in advising on projects that affect people's behaviour, including measurement, analysis and reporting
- Collaboration, communication and relationship management skills
- Track record of working with other disciplines
- Demonstrated adaptability to varied ways of working
