A new fixed term, full time Senior Advisor Communications and Engagement role based in Tauranga is required to support the construction of the Baypark to Bayfair Link (Bay Link) project. The purpose of this position is to connect people with the Transport Agency and champion our reputation through best practice engagement and communications as we deliver this important infrastructure project in the Bay of Plenty.
We are looking for a motivated senior communications and engagement practitioner who can provide leadership to this project and deliver in a complex fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with the Principal Advisor and Team Lead/Senior Project Manager in delivering a high standard of communications and engagement outcomes as well as facilitating strong relationships with stakeholders and the community.
You will be required to work closely with the wider project team to deliver effective best-practice communications and engagement, including key messaging, risk management, social media and web updates, media releases, articles for industry and community publications, stakeholder and event management, advice and tools.

To be successful in this role you will be able to deliver strategic communications and engagement planning and delivery at a senior advisor level, providing support and advice to all levels of the organisation.
You will bring;
- Well-honed writing and editing skills
- Ability to present complex and strategic information clearly and simply
- Experience managing complex issues and advice on how to deal with them
- Stakeholder relationship mapping and management tools
- Community engagement and IAP2 or equivalent qualifications and experience
