The focus of System Design and Delivery is on designing and delivering an integrated transport system - one that reflects the plans and priorities of the Transport Agency and its partners. As part of this, Procurement plays an integral role to ensure value for money outcomes within the Transport Agency and across the broader transport industry.
Work with us as we develop and implement best practice procurement. Working closely with our suppliers and other business groups in the agency, you will be the expert in gathering and analysing information that will have an impact on the agency's procurement landscape through policy development, process improvement and best practice outcomes.
This is a development role that has a monitoring and reporting function (spend and category analysis), as you will be responsible for collating data, analysing the content and providing procurement advice on the information you've assessed. The team, together with business units, will look to use this information to develop procurement strategies, rationalise the supply base and drive new and innovative ways of doing business. . In addition, you will be overseeing the collection, coordination and processing of various internal and external government reports.
Part of your development will be supporting and leading assigned procurement and contract activities. What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- The ability and/or experience in applying analytical processes, numerical and quantitative data interpretation
- The ability to collate and assimilate information from data gathered
- Strong communication skills
- A keen mind, with a passion to learn and grow
- Tertiary qualification (e.g. MCIPS or working towards attaining this) in a related discipline or equivalent experience
