The focus of System Design and Delivery is on designing and delivering an integrated transport system - one that reflects the plans and priorities of the Transport Agency and its partners. As part of this, Procurement plays an integral role to ensure value for money outcomes across the transport industry.
This senior role is all about relationships; working with the business to build and maintain these both internally and externally. It will lead the development of our Relationship and Engagement Strategy including the roll out of the resultant Supplier Relationship Management framework both internally and out to market. Well-developed communication skills will be key to success in this role.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a reporting framework on agency, supplier and contract performance that informs stakeholders and positions the agency as an intelligent client. The role will be an effective change agent in supporting new ways of building and maintaining relationships.
Using available resources, you will seek to understand the agency's markets and industries. You will share market information and supplier intelligence insights with the business and our partners, including local authorities to inform procurement practices.
Your strong understanding of procurement and relationship management will support the development of best procurement outcomes including innovative ways to enhance how we work with our suppliers.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in building partnerships and relationships
- Experience in developing and implementing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Sound commercial acumen
- Proven ability to research markets, industries and supply chains
- Tertiary qualification (e.g. MCIPS or working towards attaining this) in a related discipline or equivalent experience
