At the NZ Transport Agency, it all starts with our people. The organisation's performance and success depends on the people who choose to make this a great place to work and make a difference for New Zealand. The Transport Agency has a strong future focus, understanding that new technologies and changing customer expectations mean the transport system we know today will not be the one we deliver in ten years time.
Our Transport Operations Centre helps to keep the Transport Network moving. We manage and optimise customer journeys and enable them to get safely to their destination. We are looking to add you to our pool of casual Travel Advisors. In this role you will work with us to provide accurate, up to date information to facilitate smarter journeys across the transport network.
This is a unique role where you will be on a casual basis and can be called in for a shift with short notice, generally between the hours of 6am and 7pm but we may require occasional weekend work. Your role will be to provide accurate up to date information to facilitate smarter journeys across the Transport Network.
To do this, you will utilise a range of communication tools and modalities, including social media, voice communication and updating live media broadcasting. You will also provide information to the general public and motor systems to ensure all services are working. If you are the sort of person who thrives on fast paced and incredibly interesting work, love communicating, enjoy giving great customer service and you have the flexibility to slot in, then we would love to hear from you.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think outside the square
- Strong social media understanding and knowledge
