The People group is at the forefront of developing and managing people related systems, processes and practices so that we have the workplace and capabilities we need to succeed.
Reporting to the GM of People, this role plays a pivotal part of our leadership team and ensures that we have great administration and workplace services across all our Agency sites.
In this role you will contribute to the strategic planning of the People groups' deliverables, implement strategic accountabilities to ensure our workplaces run smoothly and efficiently and be responsible for the practical day to day operational support that your team needs to ensure that we carry out great work, all whilst ensuring the service provided remains cost effective and efficient.
Initially your focus will be on transitioning our support staff into our new ways of working and help them navigate through change. You will also be looking at ways to improve and lift our operational systems and practices and help us create a great work place where our people have all the tools and facilities that they need to really thrive here.
To be successful in this role you will be a passionate and positive people leader and able to demonstrate your capability across a range of disciplines within a corporate services or support function.
We are a diverse team so it is essential that you are a people-centric person with sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport and positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Your relevant experience in leading large teams and influencing and negotiating with senior and executive level stakeholders will be put to good use each and every day!
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven experience as a strategic People leader
- Significant business experience with proven ability to lead through change
- Exceptional inter personal and influencing skills
- A positive can do attitude
- Experience working in a complex environment
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage substantial budgets
- Experience in working across central and local government (desirable)
