The Governance, Stakeholders and Communications group supports the Agency with effective tools and advice as we work to deliver great journeys to keep New Zealand moving.

Reporting to the General Manager of Governance, Stakeholders and Communications you will be responsible for leading a collaborative, creative and professional team focused on delivering exceptional customer channels. As the Senior Manager Channels and Standards, you will maintain and grow our external channel offerings and manage our communication framework policies, standards, protocols and tools.

This is a role where you can really make a difference in how we keep improving our business brand; you will be instrumental in developing, implementing and driving innovative channel strategies. You be will comfortable working in a changing environment and working across multiple projects simultaneously.

Having managed a large complex digital presence, company brand and identity before you will be passionate and focused on delivering operational excellence. In addition you will help us define and lift our communications to the next level!

We are a diverse organisation and to succeed in this role you will need excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and a proven ability to build and maintain strong rapport and positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Your relevant tertiary qualifications will be complemented by your experience in leading a team and influencing and negotiating with senior and executive level stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven experience leading digital channels and design for a large organisation
  • Exceptional inter personal and
    influencing skills
  • In depth understanding of multi-channel communications and digital marketing experience
  • Political acumen and understanding of government organisations
  • Be innovative and creative, bringing fresh new ideas
  • Experience working in a complex environment
  • A relevant tertiary education (Communications Degree or relevant experience)
  • Exceptionally strong stakeholder management skills
